LOVES BROTHER

"Love's Brother" is a story about that strange and wonderful thing called 'fate'; a heart-warming tale about simple folk, striving to find their place in a baffling world, with nothing but hope in their heart and a dream to guide them.
Set in rural Australia and Tuscany in the 1950's, this bitter-sweet comedy revolves around the story of two brothers and the bride who - as fate would have it - arrives from Italy betrothed to one yet falls madly in love with the other.
An Australian/UK co-production, "Love's Brother" features a stellar international cast including Giovanni Ribisi (Lost In Translation, Saving Private Ryan), Australian actor Adam Garcia (Coyote Ugly, Riding In Cars With Boys, emerging British actress Amelia Warner (Quills), Italian actress Silvia de Santos, UK screen legend Eleanor Bron and Australian icon Barry Otto.
This colourful and poignant story features a vibrant, spell-binding, Italian-themed score by Oscar-winning composer Stephen Warbeck whose screen credits include Shakespeare in Love, Birthday Girl, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Billy Elliot and many more.
"From the moment I began to write the screenplay for Love's Brother and then in directing the film, I knew that music would play a vital part in the storytelling. Like the film itself, I wanted the music to be fresh and exuberant, with a timeless sense of magic and wonder. At the same time, it also had to convey the richness of character, the depth of theme and passion at the heart of the story. And of course it had to be very Italian.
Stephen Warbeck is a wonderful storyteller. His words are his music and his sublime art is that of the very best raconteurs. His uniqueness as a composer comes from the way in which he transports you into the world of a film and takes you on a tremendous emotional journey. What I love most about his score for Love's Brother is the way in which his very simple but beautiful themes sneak up and captivate you, weaving a spell that lingers long after the event.
It's a spell that will make you want to listen to the soundtrack again and again," Jan Sardi, Writer and Director.
