The Grimethorpe Colliery Band originated in 1917 and today is one of the most critically acclaimed brass bands. They rose to fame with the release of Brassed Off album and its accompanying film – a huge success around the world. Brassed Off was a GOLD selling album in Australia. Now they return with Movie Brass, a collection of some of the greatest film music ever written. Movie Brass features arrangements of some of the greatest movie themes of the last 40 years. The stunning brass band arrangements of these popular themes take us from The Dam Busters to Superman, from Rocky to a spectacular James Bond Medley, and from Gladiator to Chicken Run (with kazoos played by the band). All tracks are performed with the exceptional flair that everyone has come to expect from the outstanding Grimethorpe members.
